In this article, possible causes for the case that a set conference recording does not start are described, as well as the possible solutions for this.
For more information on how to set up a conference recording, see the conference documentation article.
Possible reasons, which are explained in more detail in this article, why the set conference does not start a recording can be:
- Conference recording has not been set or saved
- Conference recording was not set with AutoStart
- Team Interoperability
- Multiple conferences without resetting
- Action of another referent
In each session in which the conference is to be recorded, this must also be selected and saved in the settings.
Both in your main session settings and in the session settings there is the option of setting up a recording for the session type conference.
The tick for "Save conference recording" must be set and saved with the lower "Confirm" button.
Attention: With this selected setting, the conference recording does not start automatically, but must be started manually in the stage.
To do this, start the conference for participants and click on Start recording under the three dots.
In each session in which the conference is to be automatically recorded for the participants at the start of the session, this must also be selected and saved in the settings.
Both in your main session settings and in the session settings, you can set an autostart for the recording for the session type conference.
The tick for "Autostart conference recording when session starts for participants" must be set and saved with the lower "Confirm" button.
Attention: The autostart only starts when the session with the participants starts for the first time. If the session is left and re-entered by all participants, then the recording must be started manually. To do this, click on Start recording under the three dots in the stage.
The conference recording available here is only possible without Microsoft Teams interoperability. If you want to record your session in Microsoft Teams interoperability, the appointment organizer must start the recording via the Teams client and is not available on the platform.
If AutoStart is set in your conference, but all participants and speakers have left it in the meantime, the conference recording will not AutoStart again when participants and/or speakers enter the room.
For a new recording, this must be started manually.
To do this, click on Start recording under the three dots in the stage.
Just as the recording can be started by a speaker, it can also be ended again by a speaker. Clarify with your colleagues in advance who will start the conference recording so that you do not accidentally stop the recording that has already started.
