What are external tools?

Streamboxy can integrate external tools into the platform to make events more interactive.

These tools can be defined individually for each main or breakout session.
The configuration of external tools is done by the organizer / admin within the backstage.

Examples of external tools that can be integrated in Streamboxy:

  • Mentimeter (Polls)
  • Typeforms (Surveys)
  • Miro Whiteboards
  • Shops
  • Custom Developed Solutions

Speaker Features

Tool configuration

The (number of) external tools & the respective icons are set up by the administrator of the session in backstage and are visible to you on the left navigation bar.
The tool can appear either as a panel, in full screen mode or in an extra window (opens in a new tab). This is to be set by the admin and cannot be influenced by you as speaker.
For more information on the administrator features, click here.

Open and Close tools for myself

With a mouseover effect over the icon the name or the functionality, etc. of the tool is visible for you. Clicking the icon opens and closes the tool panel.

Open and Close tools for all attendees

In contrast to the participants, you as the speaker have the option within an external tool to click on the three dots at the top right next to the X and thus open the options.

Here you can decide whether to open or close the panel for all participants.

Mobile View

External tools are also available in the mobile view, due to screen size there is no difference between panel view and fullscreen view.
