    • Portal settings for an event
    • Portal settings for a session

What are the Portal Settings?

The portal settings apply to an individual event portal that currently has to be created beforehand.

Under the portal settings, you can then configure for whom the corresponding event is visible or bookable. The portal settings therefore always refer to the event in whose event settings you are currently located.

What is an event portal?

An event portal displays, for example, numerous different events that can also be booked via the portal. An event portal must be created individually and represents an API endpoint that displays the events and makes them bookable, depending on the portal settings.

Integrating an event image in the event portal

You can also integrate an event image as a thumbnail in your event portal. This thumbnail can be displayed next to the events in the Event Portal, for example.

You can insert this so-called event image in the STREAMBOXY Backstage

Detailed information on the event image can be found here

Where can I find the portal settings?

1. Portal settings for an event

The portal settings for an entire event can be found under the event settings in the STREAMBOXY Backstage. Click on the tab "Portal Settings" in the left navigation bar.

Here you can set for whom the corresponding event is visible or bookable.

Portal Settings

What can I configure in the portal settings?

In the portal settings of the event, you can decide for whom the event displayed in the event portal is visible and for whom it is bookable.

You can choose between three different roles for visibility and bookability:

  • Nobody
If "Nobody" is selected, only Backstage users can see or book the corresponding event in the Event Portal. Logged in Stage users or others cannot see or book the event.

  • Registered (Tenant) Users
If "Registered (Tenant) users" is selected, Stage users can see or book the corresponding event in the Event Portal. Further information on the role "Stage User" can be found here.
Detailed information on the different sign in methods can be found here.

  • Anonymous Users
If "Anonymous Users" is selected, the corresponding event can be viewed or booked by anyone in the Event Portal.

If bookability is attributed to a role, this automatically means that these roles will also see the event. "Visibility" and "bookability" are therefore interdependent.

Bookability can only be set to "Anonymous" if user registration is activated.

2. Portal settings for a session

Under this item you can edit the portal settings for a session.

The portal settings for a session can be found under the Agenda and Session settings in the STREAMBOXY Backstage. Click on the "Agenda and Sessions" tab in the left navigation bar.

To access the portal settings for a session, create an agenda item with a session or edit an existing agenda item with an included session. For more information, click here
