What is the STREAMBOXY Conference ?


Conference is STREAMBOXY's conference tool and one of the (currently existing) four session types.

The session types are LivestreamConference, Content Page


A conference enables an interactive exchange between several participants via webcam and screen sharing. The focus here is on collaboration. Participants and speakers have different functions and possibilities. More information on the STREAMBOXY roles can be found here.

For onboarding there are several settings for microphone, speaker and camera which can be chosen.

Audio Settings


On this topic you can administer the microphone settings.

You can decide, which microphone settings for your Conference should been choosen.

If you would like to test your microphone in advance, you can activate your microphone by clicking the button right next to the crossed out microphone symbol.

The microphone button changes its colour from black to blue and right to the button appears an audio box, which shows the audio volume. 




Speaker Settings


On this topic you can configure the speaker settings.

You can decide, which speaker you want to use for your Conference.

If you like to test the sound in advance, you can press the "Play test sound" button.

The speaker Symbol changes to a other blue speaker symbol and a test sound starts to play immediately. 




Camera settings


On this topic you can configure the camera settings. 

You can decide, which camera you want to use for your Conference. 


Camera overview


If you would like to test your camera in advance, you can activate your camera by clicking the button right next to the crossed out camera symbol.

The camera button changes its colour from black to blue and the camera picture appears with the chosen camera setting. 

In addition, you can use the slider on the right to decide whether to apply a blur to your camera background.

To test this in advance, click the slider to the right of the person icon to turn on the blur.

Browser Settings 

If you want to change one chosen option, you can change every given setting in your browser directly.

The settings for the camera and microphone can be adjusted at the padlock symbol on the left side, next to the URL bar or on the right side of the camera symbol



Browser not supported?

If your browser is not supported by STREAMBOXY you will see the following message when you try to join the conference.

How do I join the conference?


As before, participants receive an invitation link that takes them directly to the event and thus also to the teams meeting in STREAMBOXY. Detailed information about the Microsoft Teams Interoperability can be found here

The Conference is integrated into an event.

Participation in Conference


People can enter a Conference as a participant or as a speaker.
